The Brief
As part of the course we were asked to choose a music genre and a design style with no direct connection between them, and develop a concept for a festival that unites the two. The aim was to challenge design thinking, create a new visual language, and explore how different worlds can collide to produce a shared cultural experience.

The Idea & The Outcome
We chose to combine melancholic music with the vibrant airbrush aesthetic of the 1990s. It was important for us to honor the music itself, emphasizing its depth, weight, and emotion, and to create a new stage that highlights its power. Alongside this, we developed a bold, colorful, and playful visual language rooted in kitsch aesthetics yet designed to feel embracing. This led to Not Every Saturday, a festival that brings opposites together and turns them into one experience: introspective, emotional music wrapped in a striking, colorful, and ironic visual identity. The result is a festival brand that both embraces emotion and celebrates culture and visual expression at full intensity.
